I learned how Python stores different kinds of values and how f-strings make combining text and variables much cleaner.

A database index doesn't just make queries faster.

It gives the database a faster path to find specific data instead of scanning every row.

The tradeoff: storage and write overhead.

One thing I’ve been paying more attention to lately:

An API isn’t just about making a request and getting a response.

The structure of the endpoints, status codes, validation, error responses, and authentication all affect how easy the frontend is to build and maintain.

Your frontend is not a security boundary.

Hidden fields can be changed.
Disabled buttons can be bypassed.
Client-side validation can be skipped.
Anything coming from the browser should be treated as untrusted input.
The backend has to enforce the rules.
