What would be your biggest concern? I think for me it would be the end of freedom of expression. I will not bow to any hate speech laws meaning it will be the end of my time being spent in NZ. #LeftMindVirus
Turns out Chloe has quite a bit of experience in the public sector.
Chlöe Swarbrick (Green Party co-leader and MP for Auckland Central) co-founded a few small businesses before entering politics. Two of the main ones closed:
The Lucid Collective
A New Zealand-made menswear/fashion label she co-founded around 2012 (with Alex Bartley Catt) while at university.
Funded with about $10,000 she had saved from retail work.
It was stocked in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch and had some fashion week exposure.
It closed around 2015 after roughly three years. Swarbrick has described it as “a business where we learnt everything by failing.”
Olly
A gallery and café in Mt Eden (near the Crystal Palace Theatre) that she co-founded in 2016.
They added coffee and doughnuts to help cover the rent.
It is now permanently closed.
She was also involved with What’s Good magazine (later becoming an owner/editor) and a digital consultancy/artist management agency called TIPS. These were smaller or side ventures rather than major commercial successes.
These early businesses are sometimes highlighted by critics when discussing her experience (especially given her interest in finance-related roles), while supporters note that many small businesses close and that the experience involved learning through failure. She has publicly framed the closures as part of the normal process of trying things in business.
They are selling it as a revolution in banking, and will issue ‘e-bank licences’ — using the RBNZ infrastructure the govt has paid for – “ you just plug in your digital wallet!” This comes days after National announced Digital ID for passport-less travel to Australia.
Arena Williams, likely the next bozo selected to lead the clown party explains Central Bank Digitial Currency ledger “ oh it’s like a roundabout!”
National and Labour have both agreed to support legislation for the social media ban – which will necessitate digital ID as well. Last week Hipkins & Luxon were fighting over who gets the credit for digital ID. This is how twisted those two are.
CBDC is the ultimate vehicle into a dystopian future these assclowns are hell bent on leading us into. The Govt will control what you do with your money and will control you.

Private sector was a bust but tax paid sector has been a gold mine.
All six are dissolved (“Removed”) New Zealand limited companies linked to Chlöe (Chloe Charlotte) Swarbrick’s pre-politics business activities in Auckland in the mid-2010s. They were small ventures, mostly co-founded with people such as Alex Bartley Catt and others; none appear to have been large or long-lived operations.Wikipedia

These were small, short-lived Auckland creative/business ventures typical of Swarbrick’s early entrepreneurial phase before she entered politics (2016 mayoral run, then Green Party MP from 2017). Public records show limited operational detail beyond company classifications, addresses, and roles, as all are long dissolved.
Government has really made a mess of our economy. I think the first 20 grand of income should be tax free. A small increase in GST could offset this. Aussie gives first 18 grand tax free.
@KylieInTheBluff@SPhocus Of course but compared to the dairy farms is very little. You ever worked on a dairy farm? Southland has so much rain water its not a problem.
@NZMAGAMike The centre will have a dedicated substation and consume 280 megawatts of power, making it the country's second-biggest electricity user after the Tiwai Point aluminium smelter, consuming around 6 percent of New Zealand's total annual electricity demand.

Whites in South Africa need to get out and NZ should be helping them. These are the immigrants that actually help NZ. Its beneficial for everyone.
South Africa should be a Warning to the western world. Whites do not fare well in a minority.
@StefRafterman@NZMAGAMike Hi Stef. I am a South African who got my family out and now NZ citizens. We sold our 2 family farms after the neighbours/friends unalived on their farms, and I even created an app for farmers to use to protect each other.
It is not theft, it is annihilation!
@NumberEightNZ Income tax is a form of slavery. The concept of the government owning a portion of your labor is primitive and vile. GST or VAT should be the only tax that exists. Fuck the government and fuck this vile little tax hungry gremlin.
@LESH_GO_PARTY Jet turbines are quite a bit cleaner than diesel generators. Both are expensive and Data centers minimalise there use as much as possible.
@hiccup46@shane_hendrikz VAT?GST is a more fair tax as its harder to avoid. Wealthy people can minimalise income tax but we all have to pay consumption taxes.
