@AbyssalBrews It's a weird balance. An idea that's *really* good is very rare and worth quite a bit, but on the other hand, it's not "real value". The time ideas get valued is when they get turned into something. If the idea is actually good, the product is going to be better for it

What D&D doesn’t want you to know is that Fireball is just scam to sell more D6s to Wizards. Big D6 has been operating behind the scenes for years. First you rolled a stat with just 3D6 now it’s 4D6. Sneak attack is all D6s. Even short and greatswords are in on it.

@the_homebakery Absolutely. I've seen arguments that changing stats is going to break stuff due to synergies, but let's be honest, there already exist synergies (like sorc/pally or hexblade/pally) that adding more doesn't actually matter

GM's d6, d12 or d20 (depending on the challenge of the task, which the GM determines). If you have the higher roll, you succeed. If you have the lower roll, there may be an additional challenge to overcome creatively.
