Today we were looking at Mechanics and the numeracy skills needed. The students also had a go at calculating Horsepower.

Today we were looking at a career in Baking and how important numeracy is with this career. The students had to use converting skills from ounces to grams.

This week was National Numeracy Day where the students learnt why numeracy is important in their individual subjects.
In Science they also used calculating a mean to work out the average gestation of a Killer Whale

This morning we are looking at numeracy in Nursing.
Thank you to our amazing form tutors for delivering this.
Hopefully we have some future NHS staff in our pupils!
