Tested positive for covid-19 after a large amount of exposure to covid-19 patients, staff and carers. I have been preparing my lungs for 7 weeks with high intensity training, long walks etc and I am hoping that this will help me continue to feel healthy as possible 💙
Just ordered this today after pondering about it for some time - I think conversations will be even more delicate than usual with end of life care at home and I have always admired @drkathrynmannix ❤️
Thanks to @WmCollinsBooks for generously making #WithTheEndInMind FREE to download today, to support those tender conversations being sparked by #COVID19.
Download will be free for 7 days. Please spread the word.

Always thought I was weird for not actively reading the news...then found so much research to say it attracts negative thoughts & energy as the news rarely shares much positivity!
@staying_Mum Thank you that’s really kind. I agree that people are frustrated so they blame the nearest professional...also because I’m young I get the “she doesn’t know what she’s doing card” x
Part 1 - A patients daughter has refused to follow our treatment plan which will sabotage her wound however her daughter has complained about me for joining my team member on a home visit to agree with the plan that we made.
@staying_Mum It’s really sad but your completely right. Decision making is based on fear not best practice for the patient. I think I’m going to document all of this in a private word document for future
@FoggyAtsea Thank you for your comments I really appreciate them. I hope so, I just feel anxious that I might be forced into going into this meeting where it will be 3 against 1! Me! X
@FoggyAtsea That’s exactly why I feel frustrated. As a manager I always back up my staff and support them as I believe in what they do and in return they respect me. Now I feel totally disheartened x
Part 3 Which makes me feel like I’m backed into a corner agreeing with something I don’t agree with. I lay in bed until half an hour before my shift started yesterday because I felt so low about this. I don’t want to admit defeat and go off sick but I am extremely struggling.
Part 2 I am now crippled with anxiety because my manager has told the daughter that in hindsight we should have done what the patient wanted and now I have to go meet with the patient, daughter and my boss to state this.
