The Ministry of Health in Uganda is about to confirm the outbreak of Ebola in Uganda too.
The index case involves a 59-year-old Congolese male admitted to Kibuli Muslim Hospital on May 11 with symptoms including respiratory distress, fever, and nausea. The patient passed away on May 14 in the ICU after presenting bleeding symptoms. Laboratory testing at the Central Emergency Surveillance and Response Support facility confirmed the Bundibugyo strain.
This is currently classified as an imported case from the DRC; no local transmission has been confirmed in Uganda to date. A second close contact of the deceased is in isolation, also in Uganda.
But the day Katushabe Winstone (Mwine Bashaasha) gets arrested for causing loss of unbelievable amounts of tax payer’s money.
I will make a huge party in celebration!
Whoever retweets this is invited to this party because it’s soon!
@NinyeTabz After this, the Ministry of Health should also be scrutinized. How is it that hospitals are reporting inadequate numbers of nurses and midwives, while a significant proportion of qualified nursing professionals remain unemployed or are underpaid?
You don’t need motivation to lose weight when you stay in Uganda. I can barely keep up. Between MPs allegedly laundering money, a shortage of nurses & midwives in hospitals while many of us are jobless, nurses struggling to meet CPD points to renew licenses, it’s a lot.
