This week in Nursery we've been listening to the story of 'The Whale and the Snail' by Julia Donaldson.
We have started making our own snails out of clay.
What do you think of them?
Nursery have been learning a little about symmetry .
Butterflies aren't the only symmetrical pictures we've been making.
We made something to celebrate the King's Coronation; can you see what it is?
This term's topic is all about 'Growing and Changing'.
Nursery are lucky and excited to have tadpoles in their class.
We are looking forward to noticing the changes that happen!
Nursery "Wowed" their parents/carers during our weekly parent share this week by performing their own story.
I wonder if you can see where we took our inspiration from?
We have been looking at different animal prints and patterns in our Nursery.
Each child chose an animal and decorated their own square using a variety of different techniques; paint, print and collage.
can you guess which animals have been represented?
Nursery had a visitor from the Library today; she shared lots of information about how we can become members and borrow lots of books for FREE!
The children were also given a book to take home and keep!
We've had a fantastic St David's Day in Nursery today! Look at what one of our parents kindly made for us all to share and enjoy in class!
What a treat!
Thank you!
Look at our 'Amazing Animals'.
The children in Nursery have been enjoying the story, 'Rumble in the Jungle'.
This week they are making their own jungle animals this. Here are just a few of them.
How fantastic are the children's portraits in Nurser
Mrs Lowe did a 'master class' portrait drawing session on the carpet, talking the children through her own self-portrait; modelling, adding details and looking closely at colours, etc.
The children were inspired!
The children in Nursery had great fun 'Welly printing' to create some giant pieces of artwork!
They even matched their movements to 'stomp like an elephant' and 'prowl and roar like a tiger'.
I can't wait to see what we get up to next!
