We harvested our rhubarb from the Nursery garden, we then peeled and chopped it ready to be made into our own rhubarb crumbles. We used lots of different techniques and skills and then we got to taste them. Yum! @Blackwood_PS
What are you going to build today?
Look at our ffantasig gardens, ponds and mini-beast homes!
We have ponds for the frogs, flowers for the butterflies and bees. We also built dark and muddy places for the worms and ants. Amazing teamwork!
@Blackwood_PS @EAS_EarlyYears
What are you going to paint today?
We have been so creative in Nursery. We have been painting bugs who have patterns on them. We then looked at our mini-beast book and found so many we could paint. Bendigedig! @Blackwood_PS
πΈWe have been learning all about frogs in Nursery. The children have shared that they have tadpoles in their garden ponds and have seen them on a visit to the local pond too. We have been creating beautiful ponds in the block area and creative area too. πΈ @Blackwood_PS
After having our spring chicks hatch in Nursery we have been learning about other spring animals. We have been busy creating farms making sure the baby animals are matched up with their mummies. We have also been very creative and have been painting lambs, piglets and calfβs.
Pasg Hapus to all our Nursery friends and families! We have enjoyed so much this term especially our Easter Bonnet parade and watching our chicks hatch and grow over the last 2 weeks. π₯
A big thankyou to F@B for our Easter eggs too! @Blackwood_PS
Thankyou so much to everyone who came to our Easter Bonnet Parades today. It was so lovely to invite you in and share this lovely experience with you all. We are so proud of each and every one of the children and how well they did. Thankyou for your continued support π° π£ π
A massive thankyou for the amazing generosity of the @ToyboxProject
We are so grateful for all the items we have received. Please check out their page, it is such a great place run by amazing people. @Blackwood_PS
We have been building very extravagant nests in the block area for the chicks. We have seen very small nests, very tall nests, nests with beds and nests with swimming pools and playgrounds attached. Such lovely imagination used. πͺΊ πͺΉ @Blackwood_PS @EAS_EarlyYears
We had some special guests at our creative table today!
We were looking at the parts of the chick and all the details we could add to our paintings. We had lots of discussions about their feet, beaks and how fluffy they were. π₯ What better way to do observational artwork.
To all our Nursery families inspirational women, we hope you liked your pot of flowers made and planted by the children and enjoy your biscuit with a nice of tea. Enjoy your Sunday in the sun we hope you are spoilt, you deserve it! @Blackwood_PS
This week we have been creating some observational spring flower paintings. We looked at how many petals were on the daffodils and the different colours of the tulips. Spring has definitely sprung in Nursery. ππΈπΉπΌπ· @Blackwood_PS @EAS_EarlyYears
We really enjoyed our session with @FFootballfirst seeing how fast our kicks were! We enjoyed cheering our friends on and the teachers even had a go too! We think weβve got some future football players in our Nursery class! @Blackwood_PS
