असल कहानी 1977 में शुरू होती है, जब इंदिरा गांधी सत्ता से बाहर हुईं और जनता पार्टी की सरकार बनी। मोरारजी देसाई के नेतृत्व में दिसंबर 1977 में लाल किले में दबे उस टाइम कैप्सूल को बाहर निकाला गया।

इसके बाद वर्षों से यह दावा किया जाता रहा कि उसमें भारत का इतिहास नहीं, बल्कि नेहरू-गांधी परिवार के नज़रिए से लिखा गया इतिहास था। कहा जाता है कि नेहरू और इंदिरा गांधी की उपलब्धियों को बढ़ा-चढ़ाकर प्रस्तुत किया गया।

दावे यह भी हैं कि उस इतिहास में सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल, नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस और डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर जैसे महापुरुषों को उचित स्थान नहीं दिया गया। यहाँ तक कि कुछ लोगों का दावा है कि महात्मा गांधी का उल्लेख भी नहीं था।

सबसे बड़ा सवाल यह है कि आखिर उस टाइम कैप्सूल से जुड़े सभी दस्तावेज़ आज तक पूरी तरह सार्वजनिक क्यों नहीं किए गए? 🤨

अगर सब कुछ निष्पक्ष था, तो देश के सामने पूरा सच रखने में हिचकिचाहट कैसी?
