৩১শে জুলাই ২০২৪, দুপুরে হঠাৎ করেই নগরীর শিববাড়ি এলাকায় পুলিশ সদস্যদের কার্যক্রম দেখতে হাজির হন পুলিশ কমিশনার মোজাম্মেল, সেখানে পৌঁছে উপস্থিত পুলিশ সদস্যদের বলেন 'ছাত্র মতো এরা ১০০ ছেলে এসে ঝামেলা করতেছে.........বাংলাদেশে আর কোথাও নাই, মাত্র ১০০ ছেলে! এটা কোন কথা হলো নাকি (পাশ থেকে একজন বলেন প্রথমে এসেছিলো ২০-২৫জন), শুনে তিনি প্রশ্ন করেন প্রথম থেকেই যারা ছিলো কেন প্রথমেই ওই ২০-২৫ জনকে গাড়িতে তুলে নিয়ে গেলোনা।

🚨 #BANGLADESH - Former BRAC University Teacher Asif Mahtab Utsha remanded for 6-day in a false case despite physical disabilities!

A Dhaka Court on Monday (29 July) granted 6-day remand plea of ex-teacher of @BRACUniversity Asif Mahtab Utsha in a false case filed over vandalism and arson attack at Setu Bhaban during the ongoing student protest.

Earlier, Asif Mahtab was picked up by DB (Detective Branch) police from his home in Uttara on Saturday (July 27).

Asif is physically handicapped due to spinal issues, he uses crutches to walk. Such a physical disabilities man can't have commited such crimes.
