@NutmegSomething took this picture in the desert, in the Palm Springs area, these plants live here without water for most of the year, so their water storage systems are working overtime!
@NutmegSomething This is also the oldest tree, at least in the U.S. located in the white mountains in California, which is somewhere around 5,000 years old. It is called, Methuselah.
@NutmegSomething also while I was in California, I found these two palm trees crossed each other in an X formation, I dont know if it was just natural or not, but still pretty cool.
@NutmegSomething I went to California over spring break this year and visited Joshua tree state park, these Joshua Trees are only found here and are monocots, Yucca brevifolia is in in the subgroup of flowering plants that also includes grasses and orchids.
@NutmegSomething This is the seed vault which houses all of the seed known today. It is used as a safe place for the seeds if life on Earth was to cease, we would still have these seeds and be able to continue life/
@NutmegSomething another diagram Michelle had in classroom for awhile, but since we just started learning about germination, we finally got to put it into full use!
@NutmegSomething Sending you some tweets from labs earlier in the semester. This was from the transportation of the cell lab, got this cool pic of the "tubes" from the cell.
@NutmegSomething I cant remember which lab this was from, ill ask you tomorrow in class to follow up. All I know it was taken at 40x magnification #nutmegsomething
