@NutritionMadeS3 I'm curious if they looked to see who got the most benefit. Of the people with reduced LDL with nuts or oil, were they more likely to be people who started with high LDLs?
@NutritionMadeS3 How good are fecal tests of pancreatic elastase, calprotectin or zonulin in helping treat IBS? Also what good does a colonoscopy do - it seems like its JUST reuling out colon cancer.
And I am just learning this? "Nearly half a century has passed since the discovery of cytoplasmic inheritance of human chloramphenicol resistance." https://t.co/RL6Vdk3TSt
Fecal calprotectin can identify if their is inflammation and how much. It can also be used to follow treatment. In people, dogs and cats. https://t.co/nQKgWRE4vI
Fecal calprotectin was a useful biomarker for noninvasive evaluation of intestinal inflammation. Dogs with severe signs of gastrointestinal disease more often have abnormal fecal calprotectin than dogs with less severe disease. https://t.co/sdsicUUkBj
Fecal calprotectin is a marker of GI inflamation in humans, dogs an cats. In a review of 27 studie (815 healthy dogs and 786 dogs w/ GI diseases) dogs w/ GI diseases had lower α-diversity of gut bacteria AND higher fecal calprotectin. https://t.co/vnOXybvN7A
The FDA has issued an alert identifying a possible associated risk of some grain-free dog foods with a diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).
