Kyle Busch sweeps the weekend at Bristol for the second time in his career in 2017
This M&M’s Caramel scheme was easily one of the best looking race cars of the 2010’s
Beyond proud of myself for organizing and running this event. Thank you to my students for their tremendous efforts. Thank you to the wonderful on air talent we brought in for the event and thank you collegiate esports. You’re something special

We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.
🎓 Senior Spotlight 🎓
Today we recognize our graduating seniors and celebrate the impact they’ve made on ETSU Esports. Thank you for the memories, leadership, and dedication you brought to the program.
Happy for this level of investment and especially org involvement, but also how many wrong decisions can you make???
Also, YES, I got access to the invitations because I'm a w journalist, and even some of the players messaged me, absurdly confused.
Marketing?
This week is the first time I'm hearing of the event, yet it's a 16-team invitational with $10,000, AND ITS WINNER TAKES THE WHOLE 10K???
The invites as well, what is this cheap Google Doc with these descriptions:
To ensure a high-quality presentation, the broadcast production and organization will be managed by the Chalked Cast crew, known for their witty banter, weekly podcast series and dedication to Rocket League esports.
Razer Gaming Controller and Headset Giveaways: Viewers can look forward to Razer gaming controller and headset giveaways live on stream throughout the broadcast. Black Market & Exotic Drops (Shopify Car Decal)
Event Format:
Day 1: 2 Round Robin Groups ● Every team shown on broadcast, no one eliminated ● Sets of 2
Day 2: Gauntlet Finals ( Two 8 Team Gauntlets) ● Cutthroat, maximum entertainment ● Top seeds start further along in gauntlet
What the hell are these???
Team Selection?
Baylor, Concord, St. Clair, Brock, UTD, CSU, GSU, alright, you got some top 48 schools. But I am SEVERELY CONFUSED regarding the rest of the invite list. Check the schools below for their rosters. I don't even know if these schools play in leagues like CCS or NECC (Above Div 4, which = GC 3+).
FORMAT???
What in the hell are two 8 team groups with BEST OF TWOS into, the a single elimination bracket of DOOM AND DESPAIR, check it out below because who signed off on this??
Interest and Support in the Scene
$10,000 prize pool, RLCS Casters, awesome, somehow did not do a single other thing right.
We're right in the heat of finals, LAN season, championships, and these invites are just undeserving and unexplainable in some cases. Also, I love CJ, Johnny, and Jamesbot. I've gotten to speak with them in separate instances, incredible people, but I'm praying they don't do what RLCS does and just completely misunderstand/undersell what it means to be a College Student Athlete in Esports and undermine Collegiate Rocket League both on a large and small scale. I can't stand how the mainstream treats CRL.
It has quite literally been not only my job, but also many others', to advise companies on these types of tournaments. What do you think I do for Dreamhack/Kansas City Pioneers? That's just one example, and it would have taken a thirty-minute meeting with any sensible representative of College Rocket League to tell you that this is just plain awful, confusing, and to put it bluntly, a middle finger to the seriousness of College Esports and not only these players, but the other top 64 CRL teams who could have been invited.
This corporate-level incompetence infuriates me time and time again. Do better, Follett and SR.
Leaving my most personal take down here (yes, I think all my takes above are shared by many), but wtf is a VIP trip to the Worlds? We'd better be flying the team out and paying for their trip at this rate. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, I LOVE GARRETTG, I'm even hosting them in Atlanta for Dreamhack, BUT STOP BRINGING ONLY HIM UP, WE ARE SO MUCH BIGGER AND MORE THAN ONE PLAYER. WINTHROP WASN'T EVEN AT NACE FINALS!!! THERE IS ALSO DECADES OF COLLEGE ESPORTS YOU'RE JUST SKIPPING OVER, unbelievable.
Join us April 29th-30th for the Chalked Cast Collegiate Invitational in collaboration with Follett 🎓
$10,000 Scholarship and a VIP trip to the RLCS World Championships up for grabs!

Bucs fall short on day one and our time at the @NACEsports Grand Finals has come to an end.
Thank you @Adrift53@Forece_@10kisai for representing ETSU to the best ability all season long. We have set a new standard as a program because of you 3.
To our fans. Thank you for all the support throughout the entire school year!
