🚨BREAKING: STRATEGY IS UNDER INVESTOR INVESTIGATION
Rosen Law Firm has opened an investigation into Strategy and STRC, per Odaily.
The firm is reviewing whether investors may seek damages over potential securities law violations, including claims that Strategy may have provided materially misleading business information.
Strategy is the world’s largest publicly traded Bitcoin holder, led by Michael Saylor.
$STRC
Why is Strategy’s preferred vehicle not rebounding?
Investors buy this vehicle for the dividend payments in perpetuity. When cash reserves fall (since they have little revenue), confidence of being paid also falls
“But they have bitcoin!”
Yeah but payments are in USD and ppl who buy these preferred’s want USD
So this forces Saylor to either keep selling common stock (which is unsustainable), or sell bitcoin (which lowers the price of Bitcoin and the assets of the company)
Instead, he keeps reducing cash reserves, selling common stock, and keeps buying Bitcoin every week
Not only that, HE CAN’T SELL BITCOIN! Or the market will crash! And his company will be worth less!
It’s just a waiting game at this point, but as long as he keeps selling common stock to buy Bitcoin, $MSTR will keep going down
Good news is he can always just lower the dividend and save some cash. Default risk is pretty low
@Hombrelmparable This ain’t marvel. You can’t just kill off your main character and hope to continue the action
Now you can only do past events/missions
Fun market out there this AM 🥶 but some nice news out of $PCT.
IPL Schoeller 1.5bish top line and highly respected converter officially selling Pure5. Expect to see ever more products qualified with PCT resins and IPL to sell into more of their customer base.
Cleveland Kitchen is interesting brand. Smaller fast grower in hot category “pickled products”, much more liberal in putting their name out there vs blue chip brands I imagine. Starts with CK and will just keep going.
Also interesting data point that a few state mandates are driving a move to $PCT for packaging nationwide. Important.
$MSTR
Yes, Saylor’s company doesn’t make anything and needs to somehow raise money to pay preferred shareholders and buy more BTC
So where is the money coming from?
From $MSTR common equity holders
Companies usually leverage debt markets and free cash flow to pay their preferred shares (or just cancel the payment)
Saylor leverages his common shareholders for that
The bottom of the capital structure. The most vulnerable of them all
@_NBAESP_ Yeah, only two finals he had to go up against the number 1 all time assist leader and number 3 all time pts leader. This is in the history of the nba
