Meet AKPAN 🤖
A humanoid robot built by the team at Reality 3D Hub.
At the Young Techies Festival, something simple happened — AKPAN waved at the kids.
And the kids waved back.
That’s it. That’s the moment. That’s why we build. ❤️
Built a 5 DOF SCARA writing robot in one week. Here’s how it went 😭😭
Wrong inverse kinematics: didn’t account for the distance between motors. Had to redo the math mid-build.
Stepper motor drift: joints weren’t lubricated. Fixed it with borrowed grease. Not pretty but it worked.
Portrait drawing goal? Too ambitious for stepper accuracy. Scaled back to simpler shapes.
Did it still show up at the Young Techies Festival yesterday? Yes it did. ❤️
Messy. Humbling. Worth it.
Designed by my brother the Craftsman at @Reality3dhub
My first-ever tech event... and what an experience. 🚀
I'm genuinely grateful to God for this moment.
A huge shout-out to @Reality3dhub. I honestly have so much to say, but I'll let these pictures tell most of the story.
The boy is growing... one step at a time.
This workflow is an example of making API calls in n8n.
It contains a manual trigger node, a HTTP request node, and an edit field node.
I made use of the GET method to retrieve data from a JSON placeholder: https://t.co/KlFkh5ulgj .
I created a slack reporting workflow for daily operations report. I mapped out my workflow in Figma using tables, shapes, labels and labelled arrows, before heading to build this workflow in N8N.
