Every civilization is built upon systems. They determine how we live, work, cooperate, compete, and progress. Over centuries, humanity has continuously improved these systems, yielding remarkable advances in science, technology, medicine, and economic development.

Yet despite this extraordinary progress, many challenges confronting modern civilization - Pandemics, AI boom, Social media unrest, Coups and Wars.

The book I am working began with a simple question:

If we were designing civilization today, using the knowledge and technologies now available, would we build it the same way?

60,000 people don't suddenly move without a trigger.

The real question isn't just how they crossed into Ceuta, but why now?
Was it economic desperation, misinformation, human-smuggling networks, changing legal incentives, or some combination of these?
Understanding the cause is more important than debating the headline.

Reports suggest smugglers may have exploited public interpretations of the recent Spanish Supreme Court ruling to encourage crossings.
Whether or not that was the decisive factor, any architecture that can be easily manipulated by misinformation or perceived legal loopholes will eventually be tested.

In The Next Human System, I propose a different approach. The goal is not to stop migration. Civilizations have always grown through controlled, lawful migration, bringing new skills, cultures and ideas. The goal is to make ill-intentioned or manipulative migration much harder, while making legitimate participation simpler, faster and more transparent.

By separating identity, participation and aspiration into specialized systems with secure digital identity and traceable participation, a civilization becomes more resilient. It becomes easier to distinguish legitimate participants from those attempting to exploit the architecture, while preserving openness for those who genuinely wish to contribute.

The question is not whether migration should exist.

The question is whether our civilizational architecture is capable of managing it fairly, transparently, and at scale.
