I am a PharmD major at MCPHS University. I love to crochet, discuss any exciting game theories, and play video games. Don't be afraid to say hi! I love new pals
I am grateful to have learned so much more about nutrition. I will look back at our Twitter accounts to access all of these valuable articles for my patients, and also help them in a holistic way of improving their health by recommending changes to their diet. @beh353#beh353
Thank you so much @EmmaDArpinoRD for your wonderful lecture this week. It was interesting to learn about forbidden foods and how developing a healthy relationship with such foods can help us not feel like it is addictive. @beh353#beh353
This article is a helpful informational page for women to access that helps manage their diet during pregnancy. A great highlight of this article is that it gives a brief tip, then follows it up with a link to find additional resources.

6/ help that requires us to fully understand our patients and not label them down based on appearance. As Ginette Lenham states, “‘ We all have to do our best with the body that we have,” she says. “And leave everyone else’s alone.’” @beh353#beh353
Thread - My thoughts on "Everything You Know About Obesity is Wrong" by Michael Hobbes. The article this week really sparked my passion to discuss an interesting point. Obesity is not a habit people choose to indulge in, but something that is biological.

5/ my patients to go through. Looking at studies like the one discussed in this article can give healthcare professionals a better understanding of how we can support those classified as obese. This will allow us to offer them help that isn't just, "follow this fad diet" but
I was shocked that short sleep durations can affect hormones involved with altered energy gain. This can cause weight gain and make it difficult for obese adults to lose weight. I struggle with chronic sleep restriction, and I'm going to work on this from now on! @beh353#beh353
Oh, thought I'd give myself a little humble brag about how the ramen turned out. I made the broth from scratch and decided to add baked chicken, scallions, carrots, and a boiled egg to make it a nutrient-dense meal. (I added chili oil to my bowl)

I relate to the relative cheapness of unhealthy food vs. healthy food. I made ramen from scratch the whole meal for two with very few leftovers cost me $40 dollars, whereas a large pizza from dominos which will last me 2 days is $8 dollars. It's really unfortunate @beh353#beh353
This week I learned that evidence shows taking multivitamins does not have major effects on my health like I previously believed. This is a multivitamin I was taking to strengthen my hair and nails. Now I'm going to research some foods that could help too!

Popcorn is always a go-to snack of mine and something that I often find myself craving late at night. This is a great article to make those late-night cravings a bit healthier! @beh353#beh353

Update!! This recipe was really good and honestly, I felt really good after eating this, usually ill feel bloated or even a bit sick after having Chicken alfredo the way I usually make it. 10/10 would definitely recommend!! #beh353@beh353
Chicken Alfredo is my go-to meal about 5 times a month. I will be choosing to add more vegetables like broccoli florets, and cherry tomatoes. This recipe online suggests using chicken broth, non-fat milk, and half-and-half to make a nutrient-dense sauce #beh353@beh353
This is the label on a box of Thin Mints. I was very curious about invert sugar, so after doing some research I found that it is just liquid sugar. It's very surprising how much sugar is in just a small cookie. Especially because the % DV for total sugar is high. #beh353@beh353
As a commuter I found myself snacking a lot to keep myself going, this is such a great tip to be following from now on, and it'll help me save some money too! #beh353@beh353
Pack healthy snacks, such as plain popcorn, dried fruit, whole grain crackers or nuts into small containers or baggies. They make great ‘grab-&-go’ options on busy days! More healthy eating tips here https://t.co/qlZCYeimFD
