I have a very big problem with young people being paid Ksh 1,500 to settle political scores.

Are they aware that the people paying them are the cause of their poverty and unemployment?

Are they aware that the people giving them handouts are using their taxes which should be used for development projects?

Are they even aware that their work as citizens is to scrutinize and seek answers on how their taxes are being spent?

The man who has been trending in videos circulating online has been identified as Vincent Manoah, a nurse from Vihiga County. According to Vincent, the incident occurred on Thursday morning in South B, Nairobi, as he was heading to sit for an examination at Kenyatta University.

He says he had spent the night at an Airbnb and was rushing to school when several women called out to him. Since he was focused on getting to his exam, he ignored them and continued walking. He says the women then began insulting him before suddenly shouting "mwizi, mwizi" (thief).

Moments later, they caught up with him and started demanding that he pays them, falsely claiming he had spent the night with one of them supplying high voltage electricity & hearing good. Vincent maintains that he had never interacted with them.

During the confrontation, one of the women allegedly grabbed his wallet and ran away, while the others continued harassing him. He says he deliberately restrained himself from reacting because he understood the sensitivity of confrontations involving women.

Fortunately, police officers on patrol quickly intervened. The matter was reported at South B Police Station, where two of the women were arrested. They are currently in police custody and are expected to be arraigned in court.

Vincent further says the two women have since apologized and admitted that nothing had happened between them and him, confirming that the allegations they made against him were false. The two Mikoras are currently cooling their Sundus at South B state lodge awaiting bail hearing on Monday.

Some of us are hopeful that next year, we will vote a government that won’t take advantage of the difficult financial situations of Kenyans like Omwansa, to misuse them.

🚨 BREAKING: FACT CHECK
Today, it was announced again that KSh 7 billion has been allocated for the Nithi Bridge project.

Out of curiosity, I went back again to the approved Budget Estimates to verify the claim.

Here's what I found:
• FY 2026/27: KSh 350 million approved.
• FY 2027/28: KSh 200 million projected.

I've attached the relevant budget pages in the replies.

Unless I'm missing another funding source, those figures are nowhere close to KSh 7 billion.

That leaves two possible explanations:
• There is a loan or financing arrangement outside the Budget Estimates; or
• The KSh 7 billion figure refers to something else or is inaccurate.

If only KSh 350 million has been allocated this financial year, and KSh 200 million is projected for the next, where exactly does the KSh 7 billion come from?

I'm genuinely open to correction. If anyone has an official Treasury document, loan agreement, supplementary budget, or any government record showing the source of the KSh 7 billion, please share it.

Facts matter more than politics.
