The community has been split up since bf1. It is now divided into arcade-ish shooter players and milsim players. Dice tries to appeal to both leading to this "war" between these communities. The reason people chase numbers is cuz there is nothing else to do in these games. 1/?
I’m a die hard Battlefield fan but I’m tired. Players flex K/D like it defines their worth and it’s exhausting. Battlefield feels like numbers, content chasing, streamers, views and marketing. Bots flooding new map. Where is the community and fun? It felt good for a moment yes.
The content / balance patches are so slow that it "drys" down fast and people either leave or search something to do. This is dice 3rd live service game (bf5-2042-bf6) and it feels everything but live service with months of no content or patches between seasons and if there's 2/?
I prefer learning it myself and try to build an "internal" clock for it. Additionally being able to see how many souls are unspent on some1 seems abit unfair to me.
At what point are deadlock mods getting out of hand, stuff like camp timers seems extremely unfair, hopefully this doesn't ruin it for the rest of the modding community
Battlefield community in a nutshell tbh, sad that PvP genre got pussified because people are too unbothered to learn and improve at fairly basic things.
I haven’t been addicted to 1 game like this in ages. I like to switch it up
But DEADLOCK?? Literal crack in its sauce man
No progression system, no cosmetics to grind, no achievements for extra dopamine. Just purely playing for the love of the game
Valve are simply the masters
