CAREER TIP (NYSC Edition)
If your goal is to secure a job after service, focus on serving in a reputable private organization rather than a government agency, where retention opportunities are usually limited.
Many organizations use NYSC as a recruitment channel. They observe corps members on the job and often retain those who are hardworking, dedicated, and productive.
Use your service year to learn, add value, and stand out. The effort you put in today could become your first job tomorrow.
I got my first job through NYSC retention. It wasn’t easy, but the hard work paid off.
Attention PCMs with Call-Up Numbers
If you have received your Call-Up Number, kindly check your Green Card.
Please verify that the Graduation Date on your Green Card matches exactly with the date on your Statement of Result or Certificate.
Any discrepancy in the dates should be reported immediately to your school’s Student Affairs Division for correction.
Kindly treat this as important to avoid issues during camp registration.
