Growing up as an autistic child, the amount of times I was ostracized, mocked or disrespected for not conforming to or understanding social cues was staggering. My growth journey was more about learning how to make my 'mask' ironclad, so I wouldn't be seen as a threat or as an oddity. If I wanted to survive, I had to 'pass' as neurotypical as much as I could. Autistic people shouldn't have to live like this. Autistic children deserve patience, understanding and care, and a positive environment to learn how to be themselves in peace.

Hey, don't come up to me and tell me how my country's history happened. You can't "politely disagree" with history. Let's get a little in depth into Panamanian history, shall we?

Independence
On the 28th of November of 1821, Panama declared its independence from Spain WITHOUT the intervention from the United States. At NO point did they "help us become independent".

Canal
France began construction of the Canal in 1881 and stopped them in 1898 because of investors not being confident and the workers' mortality rate being too high due to the yellow fever being spread by mosquitos. It is AFTER this happens, in 1903 (Right after Panama's separation from Colombia, taking advantage of our situation) that the Hay-Bunau Varilla treaty is signed, taking power, rights and authority to build, manage, maintain and protect the Canal. Essentially, they made it american territory. We got the Canal back the 31st of December of 1977.

Martyrs
9th of January, a group of 200 students from Instituto Nacional de Panamá visit American authorities and get permission to raise the Panamanian flag + sing the Anthem. They are stopped by Balboa Police and get told that only 5 students will be allowed to continue. They get booed and even ATTACKED when they sing the anthem. After the news spread, many more students come back to raise the flag. Balboa Police is unable to stop the sheer number, so they ask for the USA for help. They then proceed to bring out guns, machine guns and TANKS to stop STUDENTS. STUDENTS who DIED to raise the flag. So many people were injured that the Santo Tomás Hospital has no more room to treat the wounded. The Panamanian President begs the United States to stop the massacre to no avail. By midnight the gunfire had not ceased and Panamanian residences had an incredible amount of bullet holes. 21 people died and over 500 were hurt.

Watermelon Slice Incident
15th of April, 1856. American man Jack Oliver steals a Watermelon slice from Panamanian seller José Manuel Luna. José asks for payment and Jack insults and threatens José with a revolver. Another American pays for the slice, when a Peruvian man named Miguel Abraham disarms Jack. This causes an immediate fight between Americans and Latin americans. 2 panamanians and 15 americans died. 16 people were hurt.

USA invasion of Panama (Operation "Just Cause")
Panama was under the power of Manuel Noriega, COLLABORATOR OF THE CIA. Manuel Noriega was a DICTATOR. 20th of December, 1989. The United States starts their invasion, by the end of which the Pentagon states around 516 panamanians died. This, however, is contested by Panama, which our estimation states it's more so around 500 to 4000 civilians murdered.

This isn't a "minor disagreement" or something you can "personally disagree" with. This is my history. This are my people. People who died at the hands of your country. You will not come up to me and disrespect my entire country and history simply because you want to believe your country saves everything it touches. You wanted sources, so here are your sources. I can't stress enough how important it is to be patient, understanding, and gentle towards children and teenagers, ESPECIALLY autistic ones. It doesn't matter how 'annoying' they are. That is a person who is learning how to navigate the world, who doesn't understand a lot about social cues and who needs guidance, not being humiliated and belittled. It's on us as adults to protect the future generations and to lead with good examples. Just because we're using cute anime avatars doesn't mean that our actions are free of consequence, or that we need to act immaturely.

America didn't fight for shit 💀 The only thing they did here in Panama was invade, steal territory and resources to fuel their own interests, murder countless Panamanians, and then destabilize the country's economy so it would be easier to manipulate in the future. 1. You are the adult in this situation. End of discussion. Nothing you say, no matter how much 'context' you add to nitpick the situation will undo the damage you have caused to this child.
2. The true professional response should've been to decline the moment you got the first email. You should've done your research, seen his age, and politely declined his request.
3. You accepted money from a minor while knowing this. It doesn't matter that you refunded it. You, as an adult, accepted money from a minor and there is no denying this fact. You should NEVER accept money from minors under ANY circumstance as an adult, much less for a business relationship. You have set a precedent that will endanger this child. If you truly cared, you should've explained to him the ways to gather support on his own and given him tips to grow his community. Why are you, as a grown adult, trying to initiate business relationships with literal children?
4. You sent him to start a business relationship with a literal 18+ creator. Are you even aware of how UNSAFE that is? I am so glad that this person acted way more maturely than you did and declined their request from the get-go. This is negligence that could've put this child in actual danger.
5. You are emotionally manipulating and causing damage to a literal child. It was YOUR duty as the adult to step back, assess the situation calmly, and remove yourself. But yet you chose to berate, belittle and cause emotional harm to a literal child who doesn't know better. This is petty, abusive behavior. Holding your 18K followers over his head as a way to bully him into compliance is despicable. Now his account is suspended and you've escalated a situation that should've been handled maturely. He WILL be bullied by your followers, no matter how you try to spin it. It should've never gone public in the first place and your insistence on it is frankly appalling.
6. You should step back from the internet and learn how to talk to people like a human being. I hope you never endanger another child like this again.

You're free to do that if you find people you can trust! I can't control what you do, however, it is a fact that doing business with minors is an inherent risk, which is why I personally don't provide services for minors. It IS risky and frankly I personally do not recommend it because it can go wrong from many different angles. You're free to disagree with that perspective, but once you become older you will understand why so many adults are against it (situations like this, where adults are abusive can lead to minors getting scammed, extorted or worse). What we are discussing, specifically, is about business relationships that are more complicated. So that is the topic we are focusing on.

2. I stand by my statement of being completely unaffiliated with any projects that previous clients create. What clients do on their own is their business, not mine. I find it really weird how reading comprehension is a lost skill nowadays. I have never said I support GenAI nor people who use GenAI in any capacity, in fact, I have been incredibly loud about hating it lol. I block whoever I want because I don't like to see negativity in my timeline. If blocking people opens the gates for them to try and change the narrative because they got their feelings hurt, then that means that the block is warranted. I do NOT support GenAI, I do not use it in my work or daily life, I do not care for it, and anyone trying to misconstrue my words to mean I support X or Y person using it, is gravely mistaken. I'm sorry I don't subscribe to black and white thinking and prefer to keep professional boundaries where needed. If things can't be kept professional, I remove myself from the situation and block. Simple. Everything else is just noise. 🤷🏽‍♀️
