The show is definitely also being critical of the puff-piece journalists who only get serious when it benefits them.

The climax of 3.0+1.0 specifically uses the references (Anti-universe, Golgotha) as a means by which the characters rewrite their reality, much like Anno using Ultraman to create the series!

@MythicVessal Oh sorry, for some reason I never got this notification. The case was resolved with a default judgement, because the defendant didn't show up to court, meaning they automatically ruled in favor of the plaintiff. Xeno never had to prove anything, he just spins it like he did.
