@ColdW0rld10@YankeeSource Keep in mind - their biz model is to draft mostly for trading purposes. They hardly ever actually develop anyone, especially position players.
@YankeeSource Empty stadium = changes. Everything else is meaningless. The owner is a coward/weakling and puts zero pressure on the GM or Mgr. But, once the turnstiles stop turning and the optics show a disinterested/frustrated fanbase, things will start happening.
@NYY228@YankeeSource How about - how does Cashman still have a job? He put together a lineup that is absolutely one of, if not the worst in MLB that is dependent on 1 player to function.
@DericFung@YankeeSource Yes absolutely!! - they’ll beat the mediocre teams and pad their record with meaningless regular season wins, then lose once again in the postseason against opponents that don’t strikeout 10+ times per game or have relievers with 5+ ERAs who can’t get anyone out.
@YankeeSource Volpe always sucked, but there’s a notable trend of guys coming here thru trades/FA, and their stats plummet, as victims of the analytics department’s revamping of their approach.
@YankeeSource Just hope to God they’re swept by Tampa - love to see this joke of an owner/GM/mgr have to answer to losing 12 of 13 to close out the first half of the season.
@YankeeSource There’s zero accountability by ownership so they could lose 100 games in a row and all you’ll hear is “we’re still on pace to win 90 games and make the playoffs”.
@Thats_BB_Suzyn It’s a different time - Hal Steinbrenner is a gutless figurehead, Cashman can sleep through the season and get another 5-year extension for a “job well-done”, and Boone can continue to have zero managerial instincts or demand accountability without any threat of job security.
@RyanGarciaESM All that means is that Buf-oone and Cashman will blame everything on injuries when this team again underperforms and secure lifetime contracts from “Hide in my office” Hal.
@YankeeSource@bruno49862 It’s never about keeping anyone because their position player prospects have been 100% career minor leaguers that they should be more concerned about exposing as frauds/losing trade value than anything else.
