I was staggered when I heard who was replacing Rafa Benitez at Newcastle. Listen, I love PopMaster as much as the next man but Ken Bruce going from Radio 2 to managing a Premier League football club was just beyond all comprehension. A dark day for football.
Sorry to hear about Damian McErlean leaving the Derry manager job ? I wonder who they will get now. Are Tony Pulis or Neil Warnock available ? They both reckon they can do the “impossible “ job
I have no problem with the sport of tennis per se or its major players but I am glad Wimbledon is over. If there is a more obvious example of middle class masterbation I have yet to witness it
Like the majority of Irish people I reckon, I have absolutely no interest in cricket and therefore who Eoin Morgan plays for bothers me not a jot.Good luck to the lad
Cat Power's set at Glastonbury was superb as usual. The highlight for me was her version of Nick Cave's Into Your Arms seguing into James Carr 's southern soul classic Dark End Of The Street. Magnificent.
Watching Michael Kiwanuka’s sublime set at Glastonbury. I hadn’t heard of him before but I will definitely catch up with him if he comes to Belfast. A classy songwriter and performer
I don’t think Mayo were that keen on getting Galway again in the qualifiers. Another team who will be greatly motivated after their loss in the Connacht final.
Always liked the Cure. Like Depeche Mode they are a band who became successful on their own terms without pandering to trends or definitions of cool #Glastonbury2019
This season is very similar to Mayo to the one two years ago. Derry should have beaten them in the qualifiers then. They didn't and Mayo reached All Ireland final. Armagh should have beaten them in qualifiers last night but didn't. Where will Mayo end up ?
I understand why the Killers are so big in Britain. They are an American band who sound British, not American. Any of their albums would have been a hit during Britpop and like 90% of Britpop, they are shite
