The Nigerian stock market can build serious long-term wealth. But proper structure matters. Do not just buy stocks. Make sure your ownership, dividends, and records are fully protected.
If you want to properly understand investing in Nigeria, I explained it step by step in my book, The Naija Investor. A Beginner’s Guide to the Nigerian Stock Market

Until you understand money deeper than the surface level, you may never achieve real financial wealth.
Let me attempt to explain it in a 3-part video series in the simplest possible way, beginning with part 1.
Watch out for parts 2 and 3, and don’t forget to share and repost to enlighten your followers and contacts. #wealthcoachomiete #financialfreedom #investsmart #moneytalks #stocks
Day 14
How dividends are paid on Bamboo app.
📌For Nigerian stocks purchased through bamboo, Dividends are paid directly into your linked Nigerian bank account that you provided in your bamboo profile when signing up.
📌For your US stocks , Dividends are credited to your bamboo brokerage account and can be withdrawn or reinvested from there (it doesn’t enter your direct bank account)
Pls Note if you hold Nigerian stocks on Bamboo.
Even if you bought the Nigerian stocks inside the bamboo app, dividends are not fully handled by Bamboo alone .
•This is because Nigerian company dividends are paid by registrars (not Bamboo)
•Registrars will not pay dividend unless your bank account is formally linked via an e-dividend mandate .
•This means if you have never done E-dividend before , then you you must either fill and e-dividend form at your bank or
•Do it online via registrar/Cscs platforms
If you don’t do this, your Dividends may become “unclaimed” dividends even if you bought the stock via Bamboo app.
For US Stocks on Bamboo
📌Dividend goes straight into your Bamboo brokerage cash balance
📌Bamboo deals with everything on the backend .
📌You do not need to visit any Bank.
📌You do not fill any form
You just
•Receive your dividend in App
•Reinvest or withdraw when you want .
See you on day 15
Career advice Nigerians don’t like hearing
Because it removes excuses.
Nobody is underpaying you.
You’re being paid exactly what your output can replace you for.
If you disappear tomorrow and nothing breaks,
your salary makes sense.
Effort is irrelevant.
Nigeria does not reward “trying your best.”
It rewards usefulness.
NEPA doesn’t bill you less because you tried.
“I don’t know how” is not honesty.
It’s laziness.
NYSC showed us this clearly:
Those who waited for instructions were ignored.
Those who figured things out became important.
Potential is a scam after age 25.
If you’re still being described as “promising,”
it means you haven’t delivered enough to be respected.
Promise without proof is noise.
Your boss is not wicked.
You’re just not solving any expensive problems.
Find what gives them headache.
Remove it.
Watch how their attitude changes.
Value speaks. Complaints don’t.
Reliability will beat your talent.
If people can’t trust you to deliver,
your skills are irrelevant.
Nigeria has too many “brilliant” people
who can’t be counted on.
Side hustles are usually procrastination in designer packaging.
You’re not “diversifying income.”
You’re avoiding focus.
That’s why nothing is working.
Stop chasing passion.
Passion doesn’t survive inflation.
Energy does.
The thing you naturally double down on?
That’s your clue. Not vibes.
Talking is not working.
Explaining is not executing.
Brainstorming is not building.
Nigeria is full of smart talkers
with empty bank alerts.
Markets don’t care about your confidence.
Be average in a growing industry
or excellent in a dead one.
One pays better.
Choose wisely.
Closed mouths don’t get fed.
If you don’t ask for raises, roles, opportunities,
you’ll keep “being patient” into poverty.
Silence is expensive.
If this thread annoyed you, good.
Save it.
Revisit it in 12 months.
Your results will tell you who was right.
The 52-week high list keeps growing 🔥🏆
Jan 6 | 12:15 PM WAT
MULTIVERSE at ₦17.70 (+9.94%), breaking its 52-week high on strong volume 🚀 (+275% vs 30-day avg).
MAYBAKER is not just a 52-week high at ₦22.95, but also exceptional volume 🚀
New joiners: BERGR and FIDSON
Market strength remains intact.
Let’s be honest…
The Nigerian stock market sounds scary.
All the grammar: bull market, equities, dividends… meanwhile you just want your money to grow and not vanish.
But here’s the truth: you don’t need millions to invest. You can start with ₦10k. 🧵👇
Just initiated a P2P transaction via @xendfinance, swapping USDT to cNGN.
Now monitoring the settlement speed and execution time to evaluate efficiency and user experience.
Let’s see how many minutes it takes.
