In 1992, Pepsi gave us one of the sexiest commercials ever put on American television.
Cindy Crawford pulls up to a roadside gas station in a red sports car wearing a white tank top and cutoff jean shorts. Doris Troy’s “Just One Look” is playing as she walks over to the Pepsi machine, buys a can and takes a drink while two boys watch from behind a fence.
The commercial aired during Super Bowl XXVI, and Pepsi was actually introducing its new can design. That was the joke. You think the boys are staring at Cindy until one of them asks, “Is that a great new Pepsi can or what?”
It was only about 30 seconds, but people still remember it more than 30 years later.
I remember Cindy Crawford. I don’t remember paying much attention to the Pepsi can.
Do you remember this commercial?
Only a white man in America can…
be videotaped with underaged girls while hanging with a child sex trafficker
cheat on his wife with a porn actresses and pay her to keep quiet
publicly fantasize about having sex with his own daughter
openly boast about sexually assaulting random women
be convicted of 34 felonies
have 91 criminal charges, 26 sexual assault allegations, 5 bankruptcies, and 2 impeachments
be sued by the Department of Justice for racial discrimination
have a $25 million fraud settlement, a $400 million fraud judgment, and a $96 million sexual assault judgments
…and be considered a good Christian by white evangelicals and elected president of the United States
If you refuse to see what is happening, the cancellation of the Colbert show should open your eyes.
I want to explain to you what a censorship state looks like - where a corrupt government gives favors to media that suppresses criticism of the regime.
