And yet, in Tunisia, each person uses an average of 0.11 kg of plastic every single day. That's more than 40 kg per year. And it doesn't disappear. It builds up in our streets, our soil, and our sea… And eventually finds its way back to us.

Le plastique fait partie de nos habitudes, souvent sans qu’on s’en rende compte. Pourtant, une grande partie est utilisée quelques instants… avant de rester longtemps dans notre environnement.

En Algérie, ces petits réflexes du quotidien ont un impact réel sur nos rues, nos oueds et nos paysages.

بحرنا من أزين البحرات ورملنا ذهبي يلعبوا فيه الصغيرات، يكبروا، يضحكوا، ويعوموا. 💙

أما كل نهار، 9.5 كغ بلاستيك يتراكم في كل كيلومتر من سواحلنا.

في صفاقس توصل حتى لـ 16.2 كغ، وفي قابس 15.6 كغ.

Egypt's water is precious. So why are we filling the Nile with plastic?

We live in one of the most water-scarce regions in the world. Yet every day, plastic bags and bottles end up in our waterways, threatening the Nile and the millions of lives that depend on it.

En Algérie, près de 7 milliards de sacs plastiques sont utilisés chaque année, selon le Ministère de l’Environnement (Algérie, 2021). Une grande partie est utilisée une seule fois avant d’être jetée.

Ces chiffres montrent l’importance de repenser nos habitudes quotidiennes et de soutenir les initiatives locales qui proposent des alternatives.
Adopter un sac réutilisable, éviter le jetable, ou choisir des solutions durables : des gestes simples qui font la différence.
