Meet Mr. Said Ally Nzori, the Assistant Chief Parliamentary Draftsman heading the Legal Translation Division. With a distinguished career in legislative drafting and legal advisory, he has been instrumental in shaping Tanzania's legal landscape. Having attained his degree and master’s from the People's Friendship University in Russia, Mr. Nzori brings extensive expertise in legal translation, policy development and legislative processes. His work spans key areas such as corruption prevention, cybercrimes, health insurance, risk management and environmental law within the SADC region.

We are honored to introduce Mr. Onorius John Njole, the current and 9th Chief Parliamentary Draftsman of Tanzania. A distinguished legal mind, Mr. Njole was sworn into this esteemed office on Thursday, 23rd May 2019.

The Office of Chief Parliamentary Draftsman (OCPD) was established on 1st December 2023, under the Legal Sector Laws (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act, No. 11 of 2023, having previously been a Legislative Drafting Division in the Office of the Attorney General.
