The Class of 2026 at Oklahoma City University School of Law has officially graduated!
Our city is full of scholars - young and old - seeking education and self-improvement. These last few weeks have seen graduations across our city and the culmination of many educational journeys. Congratulations to all of Oklahoma City’s graduates!
Today at OCU Law, we were honored to host former Congressman (and lawyer) Joe Kennedy III for a conversation with students. @OCULAW believes strongly in showing our students pathways to use their degree in the service of others.
Tonight @oculaw we hosted the second annual Clinton-Keating Lecture, where we hear from lawyers in public service. Last year we inaugurated this series with President Bill Clinton and Governor Frank Keating.
Tonight, we welcomed two alumni of OCU Law - Congressman Jason Smith (MO), Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee and Class of 2004; and Congressman Tim Moore (NC), former Speaker of the North Carolina House and Class of 1995.
Only 29 American law schools have at least two alumni currently serving in the U.S. House, and OCU Law is proud to be one of those 29. We appreciated the opportunity to hear from Congressmen Smith and Moore about their journeys and their service.
School is beginning to return across Oklahoma City! At 8th & Harvey, 160 future lawyers have arrived for @oculaw first-year law student orientation…
to be known as the Clinton-Keating Lecture. This naming honors the public service careers of President Clinton and Governor Keating and their contributions to Oklahoma City. The Clinton-Keating Lecture will annually feature a lawyer in public service.
OCU Law was deeply honored to host President Bill Clinton and Governor Frank Keating today for a remarkable conversation with Dean David Holt!
Nearly 500 of our students, faculty, staff and supporters gathered today at our 8th & Harvey home to hear from these two
from the building that now houses our law school. In the weeks that followed the Bombing, our building served as the command center for search and rescue efforts.
