Well done to all of those on the Blue Communication Course, there may be a few retakes but that doesn’t take away from what you achieved today.
A great group with some good discussion, and good knowledge.
Exciting - my new resources have turned up ready for the MoI Course on Saturday.
We’ve got various cards to get them thinking, a A5 checklist as a quick reference, and an idea library for making First Class practical.
It’s with great sadness that I share that Flt Lt Andy March VRT passed away yesterday at 10:31am. I knew Andy as OC of 1031 (Frome)—kind, quietly inclusive, and deeply proud of the Sqn. Thoughts with Nichola, Rory, William & family.
If you are attending a Training Weekend - West Course. Make sure you are looking the attachments on Cadet Portal for the Joining Instructions.
Unfortunately last year a lot of cadets didn’t look at Joining Instructions and were missing equipment, and pick up times!
Proud to share our 2026 Squadron Goals. This year we’re focused on building confidence across the whole team — helping cadets and staff trust themselves, try new things, and know the Squadron is behind them.
Thank you to our cadets, staff, and families for the continued support
successful series of Training Weekends in the West of the Wing.
This year we’ve delivered:
•8 staff courses and 20 cadet courses
•181 participants in total
None of this would have been possible without the volunteers to run and support these activities.

Despite lower numbers due to the weather, we had a great day at the Intro to Music Course today.
It was a whirlwind of activities to ensure they knew what was available, getting a go on all the instruments, learning some theory, and getting out marching

We also had the Sector Commander down to do some bespoke CPD.
