With amazing support from our friends at Let's Go Festival, Surfrider OCMD Chapter headed the hydration station for 3 days of Let's Go 2023. We served up the equivalent of >12,000 single-use water bottles with clean, cold & free water. Music was awesome too!!
Sarah Tarr won the @SDHSSeahawks Surfrider Club Award at the senior awards ceremony this week. She has been an active member of the club for the past three years, & has attended beach cleanups, contributed to OCSF blog posts, & lobbied at the last two Hill Days! Way to go, Sarah!
@PocomokeMiddle and @PocomokeClub won the prize for "Best Group Photo" during @Surfrider cleanup competition. The club will be receiving a prize pack worth $200 for members/volunteers to share and enjoy! #LoveYourMother
It was a wonderful culmination to #EarthWeek🌎 the student body cleaning up the grounds!
From plastics to balloons to other litter we collected nearly 150lbs of trash. The wk also included plastic-free lunch, environmental talks & the documentary “Microplastic Madness.”❤️🌊🌎
Peep our student clubs @PocomokeMiddle & @SDHSSeahawks! They collected 330lbs of trash from our beaches, forests & meadows! Amazing work from our young stewards! Shout out to @WorCOSO for keeping us safe, @SDHS & Andy Blizzard/RestoreTheShore for the lovely signs.#EarthDay2023
