Ajinca is 21 years old and was a second-round pick in 2024. One of the Knicks' many second-round trades from that draft.
Labeyrie is 34 and played in Spain last year. Elonu's the real gem: 39, from the 09 draft & according to his @bball_ref page, hasn't played pro since 2019.
Gotta feel a little bad for Julius Randle. He was the guy that got the #Knicks started and brought them on the path to relevancy.
Now he’s gotta watch a season-long celebration of them finishing what he kind of started across town on the freaking NETS.
Ouch.
My god, how soft have we become?
Golf has entered the arena of sports with the recent increase in popularity. There are people that are rooted for and against It comes with the territory.
Between the crying about Bethpage and now this, it’s just an obnoxious level of soft.
"The PGA of America is supposed to go back to Bethpage in 2033 with the PGA Championship. That should not happen. These people do not deserve a major championship."
"Maybe golf in its entirety needs to take the Augusta National model. No phones, no tolerance, no second chance."
Agree with @eamonlynch?
Jay Wright with an all-time story on Mike Francesca’s pod about Jalen Brunson saying he couldn’t play PINE VALLEY—after asking!!—because he had to workout in the AM.
“In the summer —He likes golf, he’s not passionate about it like Josh [Hart], but he likes it. He asked me ‘can we play Pine Valley?’ I set him up last summer to play at Pine Valley. So I call him the night before and say alright, our tee time is 7:30 a.m. He says ‘I can’t do it, I got workout at 7:30.’
“It’s the key to everything he does, every day, is his work on his footwork, his technique. He still does it every day in the offseason.”
It’s amazing how much this starting 5 was debated #onhere for 2 seasons, only for them to become the Beatles in this city forever.
Earned every bit of this victory lap.
The said weaker path:
8-seed Heat without Jimmy Butler
4-seed Cavs with a hurt Donovan Mitchell (missed 2 games)
6-seed Pacers with a hurt Tyrese Haliburton (missed 2 games)
5-seed Mavericks
This gimmick has to stop. Give the Knicks their flowers, this is an all-time run.
This isn’t even remotely a conversation. The Celtics would sweep them in 4 blowouts
The Knicks are on a cool run but they weren’t good enough in the regular season to even get in the door of a conversation like this. They simply got hot at the right time + much weaker path
There would be no bigger f—k you to the notion that 'small guards can't lead your team to a championship' than 6'2 Jalen Brunson — who has faced as much skepticism as any due to his size — leading the deprived Knicks franchise to a title over the 7'4 Victor Wembanyama.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to run it back next season, bringing back Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Kenny Atkinson, per @joevardon
Went from screaming at my TV that Jarrett Jack was starting over Frank Ntilkina on a 20-win roster to deciding who I’d rather see them face in the NBA Finals. What world am I living in?
