definitely risky there’s no question about it. but maybe look at it from the other side of things, maybe he’s only had 1 great year because Hedman was healthy the other years.
let’s see how it ages before we all consider it an automatic terrible move just because it’s the Leafs and hating on them is the cool thing to do right now
@evans_nj@BfgGordie@BeeTEE15 because if they “tank” like all of you want them to, they’re just handing off high 1sts to PHI/BOS. why would that be a good strategy
definitely the fans who are making all of these moves. the fans forced Marner to hold out multiple times, forced him to not use his NMC when traded, forced him to leave for Vegas. now the Fans have hired a coach and GM that nobody likes. hopefully the fans figure it out and build a winning team in the future.
god damn Leafs fans 🫠
@BeeTEE15 genuinely, how in the world is rebuilding the best option without owning your own first round pick for the next 2 years? finish towards the bottom and give high end prospects to PHI and BOS so you guys can all point and laugh at the Leafs for doing what you think is “right”
@evans_nj@BfgGordie@BeeTEE15 but not their own, they can try and “rebuild/tank” all they want, that doesn’t change the positioning of the Colorado 1st that they own next year
Leafs fans watching Mitch Marner disappear in Games 5 and 6 and lose the Stanley Cup to the team he could have been on if the little prick hadn’t blocked the Rantenen acquisition:
#LeafsForever#StanleyCup
maybe they did? just because they moved one doesn’t mean they didn’t try and move the other? you have 2 goalies in the AHL awaiting their opportunity, 2 injury prone goalies in the N. we don’t know the conversations that have been had, maybe this was their best opportunity to dump one and clear that $ as well as get a puck moving d-man with great underlying numbers for cheap.

@MaheshNYCTO@CakeMcJabe every team that wins the CS but loses in the world series does it every year, nothing sad about it. why wouldn’t you celebrate winning a pennant
yeah absolutely. i don’t imagine that sort of deal would ever come to fruition but you could always flip the assets from selling one of them off into a bigger deal, but i don’t imagine that’d be done until deadline day or next off season. a game breaking TE would be awesome as well.
@DerbyWelker@SleeperBroncos trade Franklin, return would likely be similar enough as Mims and Mims is elite special teams wise. Troy has shown flashes but can’t seem to catch the deep ball while Marv is multi dimensional and has proven to be clutch the last couple of years.
