So can your high schooler

@BlakeBowen24 @OEBMcNerney @OEBbaseball Looking great! Keep swinging it. Hopefully we can see you play live when the weather breaks up north!

Facts about my hitting approach:

I haven’t coached Aaron Judge, I think strikeouts are a problem, not everyone is a homerun hitter and dumping the barrel is a problem.

One thing I do know, my guys all look the same at contact. From 15u to college guys. I think this works.

Great first day with the new 15u guys. Baseline day, working on the basics. Throwing, catching, and hitting. Getting back at for our high school group sessions on Wednesday night at Kent State. @OEBbaseball

I’m torn.

If you don’t want a flag planted on your field, then don’t lose…

But,

If you plant a flag on a field, your program is a group of classless assholes….

Still figuring this out 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey @Teacherman1986. What do we teach kids who are contact hitters? If a kid is 5’6” and 140lbs. Should I be teaching him the “snap” approach to hitting? Will his 170ft fly out get him a scholarship? Or should we be listening to the lessons from Tony Gwynn? Knob to the ball?

[Ohio Elite 15u @OEBCLE28]

@Teacherman1986 Why would you eliminate your arms?

[Ohio Elite 15u @OEBCLE28]

@Teacherman1986 I’m not seeing your propeller drill here….

[Ohio Elite 15u @OEBCLE28]

@Teacherman1986 This is the opposite of your propeller drill…make it make sense…

Once Thanksgiving is over, I turn the page to 2025 and the new baseball season. Let’s get started. Looking forward to getting together with my 15u summer guys and getting them ready for high school tryouts. Group work starts in January.

[Ohio Elite 15u @OEBCLE28]

Summer of 25’ roster is set for 15u class of 28’. Excited to take over our current 14u team from @JohnBrayer. He did an awesome job with these boys over the years. Now, heading into High School, my goal is to push these boys to the next level. @OEBbaseball

[Ohio Elite 15u @OEBCLE28]

I’m not seeing any “snap and tilt” I’m seeing a big league player driving his hands to the ball and the barrel followed

[Richard Schenck, The Heretic JFD PPP LQC TTE. 🙂 @Teacherman1986]

Don’t confuse forward momentum with weight shift. Barrel path is the proof. RIP decel.

[Ohio Elite 15u @OEBCLE28]

@HoundsAnderson “I want to relax before college”

“I want to hang out with my friends this summer”

“It doesn’t matter, I’m already going to play in college”

Among many answers I’ve heard over the years….
