OEU Crews responded to a Car vs Pole event on Silver Springs Blvd. this weekend. When service is interrupted, crews are dispatched to assess damages. In this case, a concrete pole needed to be replaced. Crews worked safely and efficiently to get power restored to our customers.
January marks “Move Over” Awareness Month in the Sunshine State. The “Move Over” Law protects first responders, sanitation workers, tow truck drivers, and emergency vehicles parked on the side of the road.

Conduits had to be excavated and relocated to ensure enough control wire was available. Pulling new control cable to the control house would’ve have consisted of running 10 cables per breaker with an average run of 350’. The existing cable was in conduit and reusable.
