There is a simple joy to riding your bicycle. I advocate for cycling as a transportation tool but perhaps more importantly it does wonders for your mental health. My nightly rides through the city make me feel free and reset my brain like nothing else could. Ride for the joy
I think it’s way past time we stopped listening to the nay-sayers who insist the demand for bike routes just isn’t there, that biking mode share is small, etc... 12,700 riders on one day, on one stretch of road, is mind-blowing.
"A #bicycle is a fantastic #mechanism to SHIFT the #power#dynamic, be it between #men and #women, tourists or locals." - Sophie DeGroot ❤️
Good Tuesday morning fellow #BikeFriends! Make the most of your day 🙌🏽 🚴♀️ 🚴♂️ 💚
Build for those left behind. "[T]emporary restrictions and barriers brought on during COVID-19 have helped... increase...cycling, but locking in those gains, and keeping everyone safe, requires more permanent solutions." Ian Jack, VP Public Affairs, @CAA

Thank you @CityofLdnOnt for working amazingly fast.
I reported a sink hole forming and within 2 days this is done. Looks temporary but must have been bigger than I thought.
@bikemayor this was that dip
Huge. Edmonton’s proposed bylaw eliminates minimum parking requirements for all new development.
All cities need to do this. Allow the market to decide.
(In Winnipeg every unit requires 1.5 parking stalls - 1.2 in mature neighbourhoods)

2. You can wear whatever the hell is comfortable for you. I vacillate between shorts and dresses
It is important that we amplify, fund and implement the work of people and organizations that have already spoken loudly on the intersection of place and race. With that in mind I’ve decided to interrupt your lunchtime to do some amplifying…here we go…
Here they are - Shelley Carr (left) and her "Bikers Do It Better" partners at RBC Place getting ready to deliver London Food Bank bagged lunches to agencies helping the homeless. What awesome volunteer support. Thanks Shelley and all.
