Her reaction brought a smile to Aria's face. She should've used ice water instead just for fun, but there's always next time.
“Are you gonna behaaave?” Now, she holds her at gun point.
Since it is getting really hot outside she was at the beach, showing off a little for her phonecamera to take a few pictures for her socials!
Totally not noticing how much the reader was staring at her~
Jade leaned in a little tilting her head slightly.
"Something wrong Aun- EEP!
HEY!"
The first one hit her straight in the face before she covered it.
"Timeout timeout!"
She looks off to to the side as if contemplating something. If Jade was wondering what that 'something' was, well, she won't have to ponder for much longer.~
Because Aria pulls a small hand-held watergun out of her back pocket and sprays her in the face with the small stream.
"Hm? They love me! And I love them! They are the best!
Why?
Oh did you think I meant that literally? Don't you know the meme?
Auntie you are such a boomer!"
She laughed it off.
She was never terminally online.. judging by the look she gave her. Narrowed eyes, a confused expression. “What–?”
Yep, never heard it before. “You're such a handful,” Aria scoffs. She took everything Jade had said quite literally. “What do your parents think of you?”
She doesn't really think Aria actually expected something but she simply went along with it to annoy her a little more.
"Doesn't matter?
But I could get you flowers or make you breakfast?
Or maybe.. you want.. me?~"
She wasn't even sure if Aria knew that joke that went viral-
“And I didn't think you'd be so stingy.” A thought suddenly crosses into her mind: why the heck would she expect a mother's day gift Jade, someone unrelated to her?
“.. Nevermind that. It doesn't matter anyway.”
Now that the brief exchange finished, Aria takes a step back, then responds to her question with a slow head shake.
“Nope. You couldn't even get me a box of chocolates or anything like that?”
"And a kiss on the cheek for mothers day!
Or do you want even more auntie?"
Hands behind her back while grinning.
"Hmm.. i don't have any fancy gifts tho."
“Thanks for what?” She rhetorically asks with a small, seemingly annoyed eye roll. “A simple hug?”
In reality, both of them know it takes a lot more to get on her nerves.
