@LykinsBill67030 @gbtseminary This is inaccurate. While James insisted that old ecclesiastical words be used (like church and bishop), the word “Baptize” is not explicitly listed. Tyndale had it in his Bible years before 1611 as did the Geneva. The word itself existed in English before both.
