The OFN uses aerial imagery and NDVI in its thorough quality control process to ensure each trial meets established standards.
Images are layered with GIS data and any areas of the field deemed too stressed are left out of the results.

We did not find a high incidence of white mould in early or late scouting of fungicide trials this year. What are others seeing?

In soybean row spacing trials we have teamed up with awesome folks at Assiniboine College to measure % canopy closure using Canopeo App. Does the canopy close up sooner in narrow rows (10 inch) or wide rows (30 inch) and is there a yield response? Stay tuned to find out!

We started IDC scoring in our Soybean iron fertility on-farm trial this week. Scoring will continue weekly until symptoms dissipate. Check in here for updates! @MbPulseGrowers

For soybean trials that were established (some trials had to be cancelled) emergence is often slow. We have seedlings struggling to find a crack under a crusted soil to even emergence. A mixed bag kind of year depending on soil and weather conditions in the area.

Field pea scouting at 4th node near Lenore yesterday. Hard to see any nodulation differences between inoculation strategies at this point, however, I did see actively N-fixing nodules for both. We will do a proper nodulation assessment closer to flower bud (R1) stage.
