One thing about adulthood that way too many people learn way too late (and have no choice but to learn the hard way): you have to be deliberate/proactive about everything. For the first time in your life, you can't be passive participant in anything.
this is what happens when ur definition of love is that its a feeling btw. love is an active verb. liking is a state of feeling. infatuation and desire is a state of feeling but love, more than anything else is a choice. ure not supposed to always “feel” the love +
I’m now the age my dad was when he had me, I am also earning substantially more than he was when he was that age. He woke up in his own home. I’ve just woken up to find out energy prices go up by £332 in July.
Our futures are being destroyed.
@maryandfrens Yo!! The way Marc hated her guts was something spectacular. I’m too confused as to why he ever fixed his lips to say “I do”.
I do hear you on the empathy front though, you can tell she’s carrying deep issues but the way she punishes people for her own sadness is too frustrating
replies to this are quite gloomy.
u actually gotta fight for your joy tho. i know everyone faces different levels of challenges and hardship but whilst ur alive u can still fight for ur joy!
The best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you.
Go outside, travel more, go to new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, go for hikes, see cities, countrysides, take your notebook, speak to people, ask questions, start businesses go on more side quests.
You can literally just do things, and the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.
What we are calling £100k tears & lifestyle creep is simply people perusing the rewards of progression through life: expanding their personal space, families, and comforts, in adulthood as they should be able to, and was the case for generations before them. We should all be mad.
ive always been trying to convey this idea but never as succintly as this. we let capitalism pervade our perception of arts scenes
we're too prone to calling people "failed rappers," "flops" etc instead of saluting someone brave enough to put their art into the world
@maryandfrens Sorry to say but it’s two packs of ass. The actors are 27 playing 15/16 year olds. The writing is abysmal. Plus the dramatic/sneaky story lines always result in confessions anyway. So why do wrong if you’re just gunna come clean?? Be a proper villain! You’ll still love it though.
