Been inactive for a while but finally decided to switch over to bluesky. Going to try to keep it anti-doomscroll and mostly music related. Feel free to give me a follow at:

@Revivadrin64 @tofeelhealed This album fucking rocks. Highly recommend Whourkr as a followup listen if u haven't heard already. Dude from Igorrr doing like drum and bass neoclassical grindy, glitchy and shreddy shit
@tofeelhealed I usually just look for whatever artists the artists I like are posting about. Rip Trevor Strnad cuz he was the absolute GOAT of that shit but I find some of the dudes from Undeath, Afterbirth, Ripped to Shreds and Sanguisugabogg post some sick artists on their IG stories and x
@qveeraskvlt Probably most generic answer but gotta be Cannibal Corpse imo. Insanely consistent. On the stonier side of things, Mastodon and Elder have never put out a bad release (altho that last Mastodon album hasn't rlly clicked for me yet)
@rhc_iv@BiggSluggathor 10000% yes. I'd maybe start by checking out Grief and Dragged into Sunlight, I think those two might have the most direct parallels to Primitive Mans vibe. Also if you like grindcore, the singer of Primitive Man is in another band called Vermin Womb that's insanely heavy
@BiggSluggathor Fuck yea all these bands rip. One I don't see people talk about very often is Pilgrim. Their album Misery Wizard is sick as hell it's like the bands you listed but with more candlemass/heavy metal style vocals
Man there's a lot of hardcore I enjoy but overall hardcore as a growing trend has had devastatingly negative effects on metal as a whole. Everything sounds so homogenized now and good new death metal that isn't just hardcore + a few tremolo riffs is getting harder to find
@littlenutsac_ It's just mindless slam, there's a time and place for it for sure. If I'm looking for good songwriting I'm not gonna put it on but if I just want simple, brainless slam riffs without much thought it's kinda fun. Almost comes off as a gimmick album in that way imo
@CoreyMirisola@RAIDERjeff666@OfficialStaticX@Mudvayne Good shit man, love to see Mutilatred and Inoculation on there! Both of em feel like "your favorite bands favorite band" kinda artists to me lol everyone in the game knows they rip
@AnnieisUndead Not super familiar w sceamo but I remember seeing Frail Body and Ostraca in a basement a handful of years back and both bands were awesome, thanks for the reminder to revisit them
