The question we should be asking is not which programs we cut — it should be why aren't we living in a society in which all of our people have a decent standard of living? Is that a Utopian vision? It really is not.
I disagree with this Gen Z "I cut people off quickly" mentality. It's more of a cover-up for not being comfortable with conflict/ unwillingness to be inconvenienced. People are not disposable.
The United States, sadly, is the only major country on Earth that doesn't guarantee paid sick days. Pathetic. In a modern civilized society, it should be a no-brainer that if you or your family gets sick, you should have paid sick leave. End of discussion.
