When we started this project we had ≈120 days to create a baseball team.
We've now 6 days until our 1st league game!
The team had their 1st practice at the wknd. We've got the seats ready & the locker room.
Can't wait for the people of Davis to see just how good this team is.
If Nolan Gorman has 1000 fans, I am one of them
If Nolan Gorman has 100 fans, I am one of them
If Nolan Gorman has 1 fan, I am him
If Gorman has 0 fans, then I am no longer on this earth
If the world is against Nolan, then I am against the world
This is EXACTLY what I was referring to in my tweet yesterday about players knowing how to play the game.
Today's athletes are:
• Bigger
• Faster
• Stronger
• More Talented
But, they (generally) don't have the Baseball IQ needed.
Our job as coaches is to TEACH them!
