@Re4mClvnst@farmingandJesus Are you saying the defense attorney entered a temporary insanity defense ? If you are…you’d be wrong. And further…temporary insanity is rarely used as a defense given its high burden of proof.
In other words…”emotions” are not enough
@hannahgriff And this is why you’re not a judge or in the legal field.
Too emotional. There’s a procedure to this and the prosecution failed and did not do their job.
The defense attorney…is brilliantly attacking all elements needed by the prosecution.
It’s very very simple
@ImBreckWorsham They are not “forced to be more accountable”. Given sexual abuse and abuse of power history, this argument is ridiculous.
And…I would suggest reading up on criminal law.
The case isn’t about “hormones made me do it”
We desperately need legal classes in school
@thotpoizn@xQwirk Again….wasnt about if she did it. Just if she was able to appreciate her actions and if the “indication” really was premeditation.
The law doesn’t care about your feelings. There’s a process to this.
@skibidimarsey That part.
Yes it is a sad case but…under a totality of evidence the question is, “did she act intentionally” and “did she appreciate her actions while doing them”
Approximately 75% - 90% of individuals who raise an insanity defense or are adjudicated not guilty by reason of insanity (NGRI) are male. But you want to take away women’s rights because of one cherry picked case? I see it takes only one ember to start burning witches
What real psychosis looks like:
“The jury’s wearing pink!”
“She’s gonna walk”
“Now all the moms are gonna kill their kids!”
“What’s taking so long?!”
“The jury’s been deliberating for a whole day!”
Get a fucking grip you lunatics. Let the jury do its job.
