AJ Brown with the #Eagles:
—367 receptions
—5,368 yards
—35 touchdowns
4 seasons, 4 playoff appearances, 3 all pros, 2 NFC Championships & a Super Bowl.
The most dominant WR Philly’s ever seen.
Bittersweet, because Philly’s set up so well, but I’ll always appreciate AJ Brown.
This entire interview was *incredibly* weird.
Jalen Hurts is the godfather to AJ Brown’s daughter, it’s hard to imagine they just “drifted apart” without something happening.
The unprompted “nothing happened between our families or wives” is odd, too.
#Eagles#FlyEaglesFly
Devonta Smith in games without AJ Brown, since the 2022 season…
8 rec, 148 yds
7 rec, 76 yds, 1 TD
7 rec, 79 yds
6 rec, 84 yds
3 rec, 52 yds (14% of snaps)
It’s not often you can trade away a Top-10 WR in the NFL & improve your WR1 spot.
#Eagles are poised to do just that.
Direct player acknowledgment that Nick Sirianni is the biggest reason why the #Eagles offense has struggled in recent years.
No matter what happens in 2026, he shouldn’t be the head coach in 2027.
He provides *nothing* for Philadelphia, other than being Howie Roseman’s yes-man.
Jaelan Phillips has missed over 43% of his games the last 3 seasons & averages just 5.5 sacks per season in his NFL career.
I thought over $20M/year would’ve been an overpay, but $30M/year is just outrageous.
Glad the #Eagles didn’t keep him.
They’ll get a R3 comp pick, too.
Jalen Carter is far and away the #Eagles most talented player on defense, but…
Walking 15-Yard Penalty
Questionable Effort
Conditioning Issues
I don’t hate the idea of trading him.
It feels risky to pay him $40M/year & Philly would receive a *massive* haul.
Let’s discuss…
@NagleNFL I wouldnt be opposed to this idea. Jordan Davis is the more consistent player. I could see building around JD if we were to hit on the massive haul from trading Carter. Interesting thought.
@NagleNFL People arguing Moore is better than AJ when AJ played last season under the worst offensive coaching we’ve ever seen in eagles history, yet still managed to beat out Moore in the stats department while giving half effort because he knew the coaching was trash 🤔
@NagleNFL I’d want a pile of gold for AJ too. Why give away a top receiver after 1 year where poor coaching crushed his potential and morale. Even if Mannion is just an average play caller, AJ will be back to his old self. Last season’s offense wasn’t fun for fans or players
AJ Brown with the #Titans:
(season avg)
• 62 catches
• 998 yards
• 8 TD
• 0 All-Pros
AJ Brown with the #Eagles:
(season avg)
• 85 catches
• 1,259 yards
• 8 TD
• 3 All-Pros
He’s 28 now (still in his prime), but teams aren’t trading for the same player Philly did.
Name 3 free agents you want your team to (realistically) sign this offseason…
I’ll start:
CJ Gardner-Johnson, S - #Bears
Lloyd Cushenberry, C - #Titans
Keenan Allen, WR - #Chargers
Let’s discuss…
GB, TB, HOU, SEA, LAR, DEN, PIT, CHI, SF, NYG, LAC, DAL, MIN, CIN, CAR, BUF, LVR, KC, ATL, IND, WSH & ARI…
All voted to ban the play last year, citing safety concerns — I didn’t think they’d admit they were just upset about the #Eagles winning the Super Bowl, but here we are.
@NagleNFL Good call. As much as philly fans love Dean when he’s on the field, young players who miss almost 50% of their games due to injuries don’t suddenly grow into injury free players.
