If you appreciated the way #TheSeventhWish opened up opportunities for conversation with your family and/or neighbors, you might want to read some of these other books together that were mentioned at our Conversation with @KateMessner event. #OHillsReads#learn17
A librarian in Michigan sent me a book trailer this week that absolutely took my breath away. Brenda Dunseth worked with parent volunteer Isabel Davis to create this amazing trailer for my novel THE SEVENTH WISH!❤️

Now is the time. Leave a comment below or send us a message with your suggestion about topics it would benefit our community to talk about with the help of a book! #OHillsReads#learn17
We've been talking, but we want to know: What do YOU think we should talk about next?
Remember, the goals of #OHillsReads are
1. to connect the schools (#learn17) and community,
2. support education (and prevention) around a topic, and
3. reduce stigma about the topic.

We were honored to accept the 2019 Ron Kugell Community Partnership Award at MSAD 17’s Opening Day Assembly this morning!
Joining schools & the greater community was one of our three driving goals in establishing #OHillsReads. We’re proud of our success in doing so! #learn17

Not only are these #learn17 students, but their conversation centers around our recent #OHillsReads book, #TheSeventhWish. If this is a sampling of the layered dialogue inspired by #OHillsReads, we think our project goals were reached.
We've loved getting snapshots and stories from families and classrooms who read along during #OHillsReads. There was even a #TheSeventhWish-themed valentine out there this week! (Clever kid!) #learn17
Check out this extension shared with us from Mrs. Marshall's classroom at Otisfield Community School! While reading #TheSeventhWish, the students plotted geographic landmarks from the book and labeled them with #OHillsReads stickers! #learn17
@KateMessner Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for #OHillsReads. #TheSeventhWish is so important & so perfect for inviting the kinds of conversations we hoped to initiate. We loved having you with us. #learn17
I really do believe that we need to be honest with kids about challenges like the opioid epidemic. We can't solve problems we're not willing to talk about. This event was an amazing model of how to do that, and I'm so grateful that I was able to be a part of it.
It was all nothing short of amazing. I want to say a huge thank you to the amazing #OHillsReads team & to the community members who were so open to bringing Charlie's story into their homes. Especially the kids, who had so many amazing questions & shared their hearts with me.
I had the privilege of being part of the most extraordinary community event this week, thanks to @guerrette79 & her incredible team of volunteers for #OHillsReads. They organized a community-wide read of The Seventh Wish & their work was nothing short of amazing. (thread)
OHills Reads would not have been possible w.o the talents, energy, and collective joy of an amazing team of people.
Thank you to this team for making #OHillsReads the best possible opportunity it could be. #learn17@healthyoh@EmilyEastman09 @guerrette79 @curriculumdir17
We were so delighted to have @KateMessner's enthusiastic support and participation in our #OHillsReads program that we wanted a special, one-of-a-kind gift. This fused glass panel of ice flowers was created by Random Pottery & we think it's perfect. #TheSeventhWish#learn17
