“As a team, the one thing we have to understand is that if we lose, it’s over.
“But even with that pressure, we can’t win by playing passively. Precisely because a loss means the end, we need to play boldly and aggressively.
“No matter how much the opponent puts us under pressure or whatever they throw at us, even if it takes a full five sets, all that’s required of us in this knockout stage is to win three matches—the quarterfinal, semifinal, and final.
“More than the atmosphere or anything else, winning is what matters. That’s the only thing I’m focused on.”
