Yes, they will reference Elisha’s bones in 2 Kings 13:20–21 and Paul’s handkerchiefs in Acts 19:11–12.

But please, read the texts carefully.

There is a difference between Scripture describing what God sovereignly did and Scripture prescribing a religious practice for believers to follow.

1. WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED WITH ELISHA’S BONES?

2 Kings 13:20–21 tells us that Elisha died and was buried.

Later, some men were burying another man when they suddenly saw Moabite raiders. In their haste, they threw the dead man into Elisha’s tomb. When his body touched Elisha’s bones, God miraculously brought the man back to life.

Now read what the passage does NOT say.

Nobody dug up Elisha’s bones for veneration.

Nobody carried his skull in procession.

Nobody kissed his bones.

Nobody bowed before his bones.

Nobody placed his remains inside an image.

Nobody instructed Israel to preserve his bones as an object of religious devotion.

In fact, the contact with Elisha’s bones wasn't even planned!

They were running from raiders and threw the dead man into the tomb.

God performed a miracle.

That is a description of God's supernatural power, not a command establishing the veneration of relics.

2. WHAT ABOUT PAUL’S HANDKERCHIEFS?

Read Acts 19:11–12 carefully.

The passage begins by telling you exactly who was responsible:

“God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul.”

Handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched Paul's body were taken to the sick, and diseases and evil spirits departed.

Again, where does the Bible say:

Preserve Paul's handkerchiefs after his death?

Bow before them?

Kiss them?

Build reliquaries for them?

Carry them ceremonially before Christians?

Venerate them?

It doesn't.

God using a physical object while performing a miracle does not automatically turn that object into something Christians are commanded to venerate.

Otherwise, where do we stop?

Peter's shadow was associated with healing in Acts 5:15.

Should Christians therefore begin venerating shadows?

Elisha used Elijah's mantle at the Jordan.

Should we establish the veneration of prophetic clothes?

Moses lifted up the bronze serpent at God's command, and God used it in Israel's healing.

Yet something very interesting happened later.

When Israel eventually began burning incense to that same bronze serpent, King Hezekiah destroyed it.

Why?

Because something God had once used had become an object of religious devotion.

Read 2 Kings 18:4.

That should teach us something.

Something being used by God does not automatically mean God has authorized us to turn it into an object of devotion.

That is the distinction people are missing.

So when someone shows me Elisha's bones or Paul's handkerchiefs, my question remains:

Where did Christ or the apostles teach the Church to preserve the bodily remains of departed saints, kiss them, bow before them, venerate them, or incorporate them into Christian devotional worship?

Don't just show me where God performed a miracle through something physical.

Show me where the resulting religious practice was prescribed.

Those are two completely different questions.

And this is why we must learn to distinguish between the descriptive and prescriptive portions of Scripture.

The Bible records many things that happened.

Not everything the Bible records happening is something the Bible commands the Church to practise.

May understanding be given to us. ❤️

I was in the Catholic Church, and I wanted to become a priest.

When I left the Catholic Church 9 years ago, my parents abandoned me. They told me that I had joined devil worship. They stopped paying my school fees, and I was chased away from home because I left the Catholic Church...Since then my relationships with my relatives broke up ...

I was told that Catholicism was the only true church in our home.

Probably today, I thought of sharing this video with them and asking them: Now, which religion looks like an occult?

I wanted to ask them, “Do you really worship what you do not know?”

And I keep wondering: if these things do not open their eyes now, will it be too late for them?

And probably Catholics will be on the comment sections abusing me but if this doesn't open there eyes ..I don't know ..

Standing beside my wife in Japan, I'm reminded of how faithfully she has stood by me through every season - through the victories, the trials, the changes, and the moments when God was doing a deeper work in me.

I know i am in a season of change. The Lord has been speaking clearly, and I am becoming increasingly aware of what must remain and what must be released.

There is a deep humility in this season. I feel very small before God, because when He begins to reshape your life, you realise how little you truly control. I am laying down excess, unnecessary distractions, and relationships that no longer belong in the assignment God has placed before me.

Some things have served their purpose. Some chapters have ended and I believe the Lord is making it very clear that I must not keep looking back.

So I ask those who genuinely care about me: please pray for me. Pray for strength, wisdom, discernment, obedience, and the grace to walk fully in what God is doing.

I honour the past for what it taught me, but I will not live there.

The past is over. That chapter has closed.

What God is doing now requires me to move forward - lighter, humbler, cleaner, and more focused on Him.

And I'm grateful that through it all, my wife has stood beside me.

A new season. A new chapter. A deeper walk with the Lord. ❤️🙏

I remember there was a year that I had an audience with a particular politician somewhere and I don't know what they told him about me; we had a nice time and he sat down and I looked at this man and he wanted to contest for something and honestly, it is not pride but in my mind, I said, "oh dear, if this man..." To me, it was like Jesus at the well with the Samaritan woman.
I said, oh dear, the hymn writer said, "oh what needless pain we bear." At the end of it, he was just speaking English, you know some times these our wonderful politicians can be proud people; they think every man of God is looking for money and all of that. Church Gist. I was looking, he never requested for prayer or for anything; he was just making noise and I looked at him and when he finished talking, I told him and said, "I'm sorry Sir, but I want to speak to you and he was just making a jest and sarcasm and I said, "go and write; you will win your primaries but you will never win the election." He was laughing because it was impossible based on what he wrote. I said, "I know you have met men of God who prophesied and spoke because of money that you gave them, but you will know that there are certain people who are remnants indeed."

When this guy won the primaries; he was happy, very sarcastic statement and all of that and when he lost the election, it was a shock. I remember I went to preach somewhere and they said the man heard that I was around, he said he wanted to see me. I said, please don't bring that person here. I don't hate him; I don't fight with anybody. But can I tell you, please don't generalize people. There are people God has honoured. I am saying this for a reason. There is human worship, it is wrong. There are men of God who made themselves alpha and omega, the Bible says to minister according to the measure of grace. If you have not been anointed to enthrone government and people and you are just making noise, the disappointment will make the people arrest you one day and lock you because the grace is not on you. But can I tell you; God's system of king, priest and prophet has not failed. There are still men that God has anointed.

There are graces that can enthrone. This is not just for politicians, a man overnight, you can send one word. Was it not Elijah who said, "by this time?" You've heard the testimonies; there is nothing in this Ministry that is stage managed. I want you to pray that one prayer;
What dimension do you see God lifting you? Pray that the grace and the auction that will make it happen should come upon you.
