Three million more women are now active compared to January 2015 when @ThisGirlCanUK was launched.
Despite strides made, the gender-activity gap persists with half a million fewer active women than men according to #SportEngland data.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Penny Chuter last month. It’s hard to put into words just what a pioneer she was. Today’s obituary in the Guardian does a good job. I would only add … kind, generous and modest. RIP https://t.co/Reladum0Xl
Earlier this year we were delighted to be the first UK golf body to sign the Brighton + Helsinki Declaration (https://t.co/nvZWJ70jqX) and earlier this week our CEO, Jeremy Tomlinson was invited to represent us at the @IWGWomenSport 30th anniversary dinner. 🤝
This clip of BBC Presenter Naga Munchetty perfectly captures how limiting and restrictive it can feel to exercise outdoors in the winter months.
Women and girls deserve to be active outdoors, in public, without fearing for their safety.
What a day we had on Tuesday! 😊

USRowing’s United We Row initiative focuses on supporting rowing programs, coaches, athletes, and anyone interested in advancing the sport of rowing to diversify and grow their programs. This past year, United We Row awarded seven grants to rowing programs across the country who are working to make rowing more accessible to their community. The United We Row scholarships break down financial barriers so rowers, coxswains, and coaches can pursue their goals on the water.
