Shut up and talk ball. Share your knowledge. Use social media for the good of others. Educate other coaches. Feed into young coaches who will be doing this after you’re gone.

Not sure Coach Holmes is anywhere near “terrible”.. his family IS the wing-t.. not only does the wing-t and gun-t maximize small school talent, it puts the ball in the hands of athletes, it teaches every lineman every essential block, it doesn’t depend on QBs making difficult reads, it doesn’t even depend on having a quarterback. Somewhere like where Coach Holmes is as the OC now has historically had little to no great QB play, so you use that system to maximize the program and maximize everyone’s potential

RECRUITS:
Don’t be the guy who ghosts coaches. You don’t owe anyone a long explanation or justification…just communicate. A simple “I’ve decided to go another direction” shows respect and lets coaches move on. Character is revealed in how you handle the little things.

ALWAYS ask your counselor for your CORE GPA!! Sometimes that 3.0 is not what is getting evaluated.

MANY 4 year universities are looking at your core classes! Find your core GPA and communicate that with coaches

That’s a huge staff..
I think behind the safety(ies) is a fine spot as long as the coaches aren’t just concreted to the ground during the play.. being willing and able to move around to avoid posts, crossers, seams, etc is important.. tough balance but it only frustrates us offensive coaches when our crap isn’t working 😂
